Tassel Hassle

I have a confession: somehow over the last few months I have purchased three tassel style necklaces. I am not sure what possessed me to do so, it just seemed like something different and a little retro. My mom went through a phase a while back when I was in middle school or high school where she became obsessed with decorative tassels for our home. She would use them to adorn curtains, the knobs of curio cabinets and any other thing that you could hang something off of. My dad and I would always make fun of her for this, but now perhaps I get their appeal! I am just going through my "Tassel Days".

Did my husband comment on the tassel I am wearing today as I was getting dressed? Well, of course! Especially when he saw the $24.95 price tag from LOFT, of which I paid a mere fraction. In his defense, it's not the most practical piece of jewelry; I got it stuck in the zipper of my bag, but that's mainly due to me being a klutz.

  1. I really love the super bright colours in this outfit! And that wall is the perfect backdrop. I have to admit that I've been eyeing up tassel style necklaces, but I'm trying to buy only vintage jewellery these days and they're proving harder to track down. I might have to make my own?! x
