Mint to Be

Everyone wants to believe that certain things are just meant to be. From things of great significance, like finding your perfect spouse or your perfect job, to the trivial, like finding that one piece in your wardrobe you've been tracking down, it's fun to think that fate plays a hand in the way things turn out. I've been looking for a mint bag for quite sometime now. Like most women, I have bags in all shades of the rainbow, but not a single one in mint. This hole in my bag collection needed to be filled and thus I made it my mission to track down the perfect mint bag in the perfect shade. I considered all different options but eventually found this Furla bag last month that suited me perfectly.

I also consider my blouse to be a "meant to be" item. I wanted this scattered floral sequin shell from J. Crew for the longest time, but it slipped through my fingers. A week or so I found it at my local J. Crew (it was clearly a return) and got it for a great price. Pretty lucky right? Well, the first time I wore this shirt out was to a wine tasting dinner and during one of the courses,  a tomato covered in balsamic vinegar "exploded" all over the shirt. I tried to get it out, but a little of the stain remained. This incident prompted my husband to have a different perspective on my shirt. He told me that this is the universe telling me that I don't need any more clothes and that buying the shirt really wasn't meant to be after all!

  1. What a lovely shade of mint you've found. It's amazing how much variety of shades you can get in just one colour from the green end of mint to the more cool ice blue end. Looks adorable with the shirt. I tried to spot the stain but you've hidden it well!

  8. You know I don't have any mint in my collection either. I tried to get a pair of mint pants recently, but they didn't fit and I was totally bummed. Love that skirt!

    1. Yes, I did get most of the stain out! But a little still remains. I think it's probably imperceptible to anyone but me!
