Print Perfect

I have to admit that I love a good print. The more colorful and the more quirky the print is, the better. I saw this peplum top a few months ago as a new arrival at my local Anthro store and instantly fell in love with it. However, for whatever reason, I just forgot about it. When I went shopping at Anthropologie to use my birthday discount a few weeks ago to treat myself to a couple "goodies", which actually turned out to be more than a couple, I saw the top again and instantly remembered loving it the first time I laid eyes on it. I was also happy to see that this top was not only on clearance, but constructed by Weston in the USA. You can definitely tell that it is of superb quality by the fit and the lining. A great print, plus great construction...sold!

This top would definitely look smart with a pencil skirt, but today I am going casual in my ripped Reid jeans from J. Crew.  You may think that the Reid jeans are the only pair of jeans I own because every time I take a blog photo in jeans these are the pair I have on, but actually that's far from the truth. I have a whole drawer in my dresser devoted to jeans (as my husband likes to remind me), but these just happen to be my favorite pair, which is why I feature them so often on the blog!

As a side note, I feel a little bad that many of the Anthro finds that I am posting this week are no longer available online, however the stores do seem to have a lot of good finds (probably returns) that are out of stock on their website. The dress I featured yesterday is a good example of this. However,  it's always fun to check out the sale rack at Anthro because it can become somewhat of a treasure hunt where you never know what you'll find or how much it might be marked down. Now, I am sort of getting the urge to go back this weekend to see what I might find.

  3. I'm going to coin a phrase that the lovely Alice (who has also commented) said on one of my blog posts - it's wearable art! The colours and print are wonderful and that's what I love about tops like this one. You can take one or two colours from it and use those as accents elsewhere, which is what you've done with the orange and blue.

    1. Thank you Jessica! I always wait for a sale at Anthro, unless it seems like an item that will sell out quickly.
