Rocks and Minerals

When I was a little girl, I was a bit of a nerd. I used to look forward to the rock and mineral show that came to the New York State Fairgrounds every summer. I collected rocks, so this was quite the event for a collector such as myself. Every year I would add a few new "finds" to my burgeoning rock collection, until eventually I grew out of that phase and moved on to something else. While I am not sure what's become of my rock collection since my childhood (I'm sure it's somewhere buried in my parents' attic) I still love gems and minerals. Today my shirt contains a host of faux gems in various shapes and sizes. I suppose I also still have some of collector spirit in me, although now my efforts in collecting have moved towards gem encrusted articles of clothing and statement necklaces, as opposed to the real thing!

  10. Isn't it sweet how a passion from our childhood can evolves into another passion in adulthood? I love the story behind this outfit. And the tee is the perfect choice for the blush skirt.
